Cinemark Theaters Was On Notice Their NO GUNS Policy was a Gun Free Killing Zone Manasquan, NJ --(Ammoland.com)- As far back as 2009 pro gun activists had made Cinemark management aware that their NO Guns Policy was just creating a gun free zone where only the inncent and lawabiding would be unarmed. “Headquartered in Plano, TX, Cinemark Holdings, Inc. is a leader in the motion picture exhibition industry with 459 theatres and 5,181 screens in the U.S. and Latin America as of March 31, 2012,” their website reports. Cinemark owns the Century 16 movie theater in Aurora, Colorado, scene of last night’s mass shooting. Cinemark doesn’t allow anyone other than law enforcement officers to carry legal firearms in their theaters. Gun free zone = free fire zone for bad guys.
Your earlier comment- about if someone had been there with a weapon (CCW holder), things might have turned out differently. I had that exact conversation with my co-workers this morning... and they looked at me as though I was on drugs! (California people, dontcha' know...) The population of Colorado is 5.2 million, and the number of Colorado CCW holders is 139,560- or 2.7%. Which means- statistically- there should have been several people able to stop that shit-bag, and in the process, save lives. Sadly though, most CCW holders obey the wishes of organizations such as the owner of the movie chain... And this is the price for that naivete'... Senseless, and tragic. When I get out of California, I'll renew my CCW, and again carry everywhere they don't require me to go through metal-detectors. I've done so at airports (when not actually having to go through security myself), universities, restaurants, everywhere. As this incident demonstrates, the police are incapable of protecting us, only writing reports and hosing the blood off the sidewalk, after it's all over with. Look at the VA Tech massacre, to see how our brave "men in blue" behave, when they have the opportunity to actually do some good. They'll cower behind walls, until the bad guy runs out of ammo, uses the last bullet on himself. The police are fucking useless. We're on our own, and have been for a long time... hopefully, people will start to get the picture, before more people die needlessly.

I was channel surfing and bored and noticed CBS did a one-hour coverage on this story following their nightly news. They canceled whatever mind numbing program that was scheduled for that hour...for another one. I watched for about three minutes. What was interesting was that they interviewed a young black man who had some buckshot in his shoulder - injured victim. The black guy didn't know whether one of his woman friends he attended the movie with was dead or alive. Talk about total information control...or lack thereof...
Some people thought Archie Bunker, all in the family was comedy too. Go figure! Meathead and Natasha were pretty funny though, in a retarded sort of way.
Obama's watch stopped on 24 May 2008, but he's been too busy smoking crack to notice.
There really is nothing left to say. We're all 300 million experts on this now. The Smart Lady who did not open the door has been the best take away from this.... ;}
