I've always considered it over the line to tell someone to kill themselves on these stupid forums. To a much lesser extent, it is also over the line to break someone's anonymity or use their real name without their instigating it. Anyway, here is that useless asshole yukon doing both in one breath. Really, Yukon, you fucking loser? You want this guy to kill himself??? Sneakypete is one of the people on these threads that I have actually had some nice conversation with, except when it comes to his religious bigotry which can surely trip my trigger. Other than that, he knows, as I've told him before that I still expect one day, he will be so blindsided by God that he'll freak.
You could very well be right. However, my fear is that our police force is being filled with just his sort.
Maybe I'm wrong,but even though he had bad health,wasn't the prime reason he bowed out was because his wife's health was failing,and he just didn't have the time and energy to care for her,himself,and still post on the level he had always posted? I didn't always agree with what Pat posted,but he was as thorough and detailed with his posts as anybody I have ever seen. Also,I would like to think he is still in the land of the living,and just taking life easy and enjoying himself. I really liked the guy. Fact is, we're all dying. True,but that doesn't mean it isn't a more immediate concern for some than for others.

BTW,I am NOT convinced it is actually Grand Island making those posts. The original Grand Island was a genuine cop that I only occasionally agreed with,but he wasn't insane. He make posts defending cops without reservation,but on most other issues he was pretty rational. Then he quit posting,and some time late "he" came back to post again,and his personality was 100% different. I think somebody hacked his password and is posting as him and that the real GI has no idea this is happening.

Thanks,Fred. That thread brought back some good memories. I really am disappointed that none of us ever got any sort of update on his or his wife's conditions,though. Pat was thoughtful,so you would think he had left instructions with someone to let us know if his condition gets worse,he needs something,or he has died.

He used to drive me crazy with his crazy posts but I'm sure he was a nice enough guy in real life. Sounded like things were getting a little desperate for him at the end.
. He was/is. Unfortunately for him,he had a tough row to hoe in life. As bad as his own health was,his wife's health was even worse. She was unable to do hardly anything for herself,so he had to quit work and give up a lot to be able to stay at home and care for her. Then his own health went south,making it even harder to care or his wife. It's not hard to understand why he was looking for something to ease his mental and physical burdens,and even if it was nothing but faith it probably helped him make it through the day. I never criticize anyone for grasping at straws. We all need to do whatever it is we need to do everyday to keep from kicking the chair out from under our feet.
