After a media and political firestorm, Rush Limbaugh issued an apology on Saturday for calling student Sandra Fluke a "slut" on his radio show this week. Fluke, a law student at Georgetown University who was advocating for health insurance plans to cover the cost of contraception, became the target of a series of attacks by Limbaugh. Besides calling her a "slut," he also called her a "prostitute," said that he wanted her to make sex tapes and post them online, and speculated that she only had a problem paying for contraception because she was having "so much sex." Limbaugh's comments caused advertisers to flee from his show, and even prompted President Obama to weigh in. The statements also became an issue in the Republican presidential race. Limbaugh — who has a long history of making incendiary remarks, and is not known to take them back — issued the rare apology on Saturday afternoon, saying he was "sincerely" sorry about his "insulting" characterization of Fluke. But he maintained that the birth control debate was about "personal sexual recreational activities," not any broader health questions, and compared contraception to sneakers. The apology, in full: I think it is absolutely absurd that during these very serious political times, we are discussing personal sexual recreational activities before members of Congress. I personally do not agree that American citizens should pay for these social activities. What happened to personal responsibility and accountability? Where do we draw the line? If this is accepted as the norm, what will follow? Will we be debating if taxpayers should pay for new sneakers for all students that are interested in running to keep fit? In my monologue, I posited that it is not our business whatsoever to know what is going on in anyone's bedroom nor do I think it is a topic that should reach a Presidential level. My choice of words was not the best, and in the attempt to be humorous, I created a national stir. I sincerely apologize to Ms. Fluke for the insulting word choices." A "For over 20 years, I have illustrated the absurd with absurdity, three hours a day, five days a week. In this instance, I chose the wrong words in my analogy of the situation. I did not mean a personal attack on Ms. Fluke.

Sunday talks show should be fun. I don't do facebook or twitter but I understand this topic is 'exploding' on those venues.

Yellowtail Jaundice, aka cowardice, defined as running away at the first sign of politcal pressure, backpeddling/waffling speech, profusious apologizing, publically begs for mercy and forgiveness at the drop of a hat. Recognized by a wide, yellow streak, running up the spine, and puckered buttocks... Highly contagious, avoid contact with, MSM, talkshow hosts, and anyone in politics. Take what any of them say with a grain of salt, it can flip flop at any moment, and you may survive the humiliation they will be saddled with for the rest of their lives.

When I'm driving. I flip beteen Rush and 2 rock stations. I enjoy listening to his show. He is right more then he is wrong. You may say he is wrong on some important issues and I would agree with that. NAFTA, Iraq War, Patriot Act etc.

Those days are quickly coming to an end for the well-known illegal Oxycontin habitual user that used to rant&rave through applause with his "stack o' stuff" about Americans treating Iraqis less than shit in military confinement. About a week ago, but the radio reception is lousy around here. I didn't enjoy it, and that's the difference. I like to know what the enemy's up to. IMO, if you vote for evil you're only encouraging it, and will get even more evil candidates next time. Just say NO to scumbags! They can't even find eligible American candidates that evil, they have to use part foreigners. Panamanian, Kenyan, Mexican half breed mutants. It's one of those jobs Americans won't do anymore.

You must believe that the US Constitution is a "living document". At the time the term Natural Born was written it meant both juris sol, and juris sangre. Born on the soil, AND born of citizen parents with US blood in their veins. McStain was born in Panama (violation of juris sol), Romney's father was a dual US/Mex citizen (violation of juris sangre). If it can be proven that Mitt's father renounced his allegiance to Mexico prior to Willard's birth, he's eligible. Most likely George Romney died a dual citizen, and Mitt's ineligible. George was gov of Michigan and made an attempt at the GOP presidential nomination, but was shot down. That was the good old days when the constitution was at least looked at.

My dad was in the Military. I was almost born in Germany. I laugh at the idea that I wouldn't have been considered a natural born citizen because my father was serving the country overseas and his son would have happened to be born overseas because of that.
