ESPN dropped Hank Williams Jr.s well-known Are You Ready for Some Football? opening song for Monday Night Football last night after the country singer compared President Obama to Hitler earlier in the day and called the president and vice president the enemy. Shortly after Williams made the comments on Fox & Friends yesterday morning, ESPN said in a statement, We are extremely disappointed with his comments, and as a result have decided to pull the open from tonights telecast.
Some of us have strong opinions and are often misunderstood. My analogy was extreme but it was to make a point. [...]
Williams Jr. adds, Every time the media brings up the tea party its painted as racist and extremists but theres never a backlash no outrage to those comparisons.
Watch Williams uncomfortable appearance on Fox & Friends, in which he also seemed to make a pass at host Gretchen Carlson, via Media Matters:
But not everyone was offended. Tea Party Nation founder Judson Philips tweeted this morning, I stand with Hank, and suggested he will boycott the sports network of the incident. If ESPN will not have Hank Williams because of his political beliefs I will not watch ESPN. No Hank, no football! he added. Theres also a petition circulating on a conservative activist website calling on conservatives to boycott ESPN and their sponsors just like the libs did to Glenn Beck.
Gee, I missed the uproar when the Left routine referred to Bush as Hitler, created a fake assasination movie killing Bush, let alone the vast array of celebrities from Babbling Streisand to the lounge act once known as the Dixie Chicks....
Not to mention there is no way to poll the Tea Party given its not one entity.
ESPN said in a statement, We are extremely disappointed with his comments, and as a result have decided to pull the open from tonights telecast.
So ESPN, a fking sports network, are "extremely disappointed" with Hank's comments? What will it take to show this nation just how pussified the men of this country have become.
Over the past few months I have been researching and studying the history, the true history of WWll (not the sugar coated BS the feds handed out over the years), Germany, Russia, Italy and Japan in particular in order to understand their connections with one another, and comparing their policies and programs with those this government today is attempting to re-name and resurrect.
If ESPN thinks Hank was "extremely disappointing" with his comments, they'd all be on life supports before I got done with them in an interview.
"ABOUT a dozen companies have withdrawn their commercials from Glenn Beck, the Fox News Channel program, after Glenn Beck, the person, said late last month that President Obama was a racist with a deep-seated hatred for white people or the white culture.

As we know, he never recovered.
But what makes this even funnier, is that you, Boof, somehow twisted Beck losing his Faux News gig as something positive for him and that it was going to be "lucrative" for him.
The reality is that he's moved so far into the Realm of Irrelevant that he's aleady an answer to the "Geography" category of this year's edition of Trivial Pursuit...
