Seems sort of silly and shallow, esp , considering that Jesus chose his fate. He could have denied he was Christ any number of times.

"Seems sort of silly and shallow, esp , considering that Jesus chose his fate. He could have denied he was Christ any number of times."

The point is that were this show to have originated in Iran, there would be Koran burnings and calls for war.

Because this is a Israeli show, it only rates a tepid "silly and shallow" rating. It's only blasphemy if the Muslims do this.

Hmm? Actually I don't really care who mocks Christ, as long as they do not report to be a minister, Priest or Pastor.

Blasphemy is when a Christian religious leader denies or mocks Christ. Everyone else is free to do what they want to do.

I don't listen to anything a Muslim religious leaders says either, FWIW.

South Korea:- A chronology of Christian attacks against Buddhism

As in India the religion of love starts small, infiltrates major sectors of the society. Now Christianity is the dominant religion in South Korea and Buddhism is a fading religion. This is how Christians subvert from within. And this how they commit genocide of pre Christian culture and religions. And that is exactly their intention in India as well.

http://www.buddhapia.com/eng/tedesco/2.html

Buddhism under Siege 1982-1996: A Chronology of Fifteen Years of Incidents Against Buddhism in South Korea

The following is an incomplete listing of defamations, acts of vandalism and arson attacks against Buddhist temples and facilities in South Korea which have occurred since 1982 and which have earned the attention of the news media and the dismay of the Buddhist population in the country.

Buddhism under Siege 1982-1996 : Fifteen Years of Incidents Against Buddhism in South Korea including at least twenty temples or Buddhist shrines seriously damaged or totally destroyed by arson since 1986.

There is more on this in the link. Christianity did not get as pervasive as it is with mere persuasion. Many people have died, been imprisoned and tortured for not going along with the program.

Many thousands of people were burned as witches who were just practitioners of herbal medicine, talked to themselves or animals, or contradicted the local authority and pissed them off.

I do not begrudge anyone their religion, but I am well aware of the hypocrisy involved in much of the laments about Islam many Christians have.

Both religions are too aggressive about recruitment, and feel you can't make an omelet without breaking a few eggs. This is an apt metaphor as it denotes how little many care about who they hurt or what rights are violated by their advocacy to promote their religion.

Hmm- Well, I believe that the Muslims have done far greater damage to the Buddhists than anyone else in the world..

I believe this is anti Christian propaganda. No Christian I know would support any killing of anyone. Beside that- why would we kill Buddhists?

Jesus and Buddha are buds. Buddhism is a very peaceful philosophy. I love his holiness the Dali Lama. I don't worship him, or think he is God- but he is pretty cool in my book.

He does NOT have the power to save, that Jesus has- but he is a good guy. Why would we kill Buddhists?

Why would we FORCE anyone? It isn't going to help anyone get into Heaven by FORCING anyone to be a Christian.

Some horrible things have been done in the name of religion, in history, yes.. and some of those people claimed to be Christians, but Christians don't kill people for not converting- at least not in many hundreds of years. They were wrong when they killed people for not converting.

I don't know any church who would support killing Buddhists.

"Uh...ahem....He isn't holy"

Are Catholic Saints holy?

Humans can reach a degree of overall enlightenment that makes them holy enough this becomes the general consensus about them.

You don't need to be a Christian to know holiness. Buddha was a holy man whom Christians often mistake as being presented as a god.

Holiness is not a franchise owned and controlled by Christianity.

Catholic saints. They are not holy to me, but out of respect for humans and their right to choose differenly than me, I will use the word saint.

In my understanding, it is ok for me to show respect to other people, even when I do not agree with them.

Mike I have to tell you, I respect your right to choose to be a wiccan, but I do think it is about Satan.

I was in wicca. I know you all talk about paganism, but really, it leads to satan worship.

It just does.

Christ is the only God who can save us, and who rose from the dead. Jesus is in a class all by himself. In wicca you have witchcraft and that is effective, sometimes... but witchcraft will not save you or redeem you.

Satan is a myth. We do not recognize the concept of the devil or hell vehicles used to scare people enough to keep them in the flock.

I was forced to go to church every Sunday and to do the catechism afterward. It was a hostage crisis from first grade on. I gave up arguing passionately to get out of it in third grade, and when I got big enough my Mom couldn't force me to go. The haircuts stopped and only happened again in the Army, and I will never change.

We have a large and vibrant Wicca community here in Eugene, and my social life is entrenched into a shared leadership role in it. I helped make it what it is.

I am an iconoclast by nature, and that will never change either.

Christianity, and Islam which is a lot like it, and several of the others are geared to manage and control human culture. Our religion is about respect and love for all life.

And we don't harass people for foolish petty hatreds concerning homosexuality, what country someone was born in, or other immature control freak games.

My religion teaches me to fight my political and social battles whiteout fear and hatred. And we do not believe in proselytizing, and believe anyone can reach the higher levels of enlightenment in any of the religions mankind has dreamed up; even yours. That is an alien concept that I find most distasteful.

Satan is not a myth, Mike. And there is a Heaven and there is one way to get there: Jesus.

I understand your story.

Enlightenment and living in harmony is excellent, a good way to live- but it does not save, it won't get you to Heaven- and there is something so much deeper than enlightenment.

As I said, I have tried other things, and I know what I am talking about. I don't have a religion, personally. I have a savior.

I believe you have a philosophy, and I agree with it because it all starts with the Golden Rule. There are good people who are not religious or spiritual at all. They are also not going to Heaven. That makes me sad, but I don't force things on them, if that is their choice.

Jesus just takes the Golden Rule out further, and has the blessings of God. There is no religion or philosopher who can give you what Jesus gives you.

You might want to check it out just to make some comparisons. Just to make sure you really understand what people are talking about, and saying about Jesus.

I bet you $100.00 bucks you would discover something surprising.

Satan is not a myth, Mike.

Yet most Jews don't believe in Satan either

I am not Jewish. I don't think many Jewish people have their prayers answered either.

They don't really have a way of talking to the father, that could be one reason for it.
