New World Order Title: More “Global Warming” Nonsense It’s time to add to the list of dumb things the global warming wackos are claiming… During just the past two years, the alarmists have blamed it for (links included): Incredible shrinking sheep, Invasion of jellyfish in the Mediterranean, Surge in fatal shark attack, Boy Scout tornado deaths, Severe acne, Global conflict, Beer tasting different, Suicide of farmers in Australia, Bigger tuna fish, Longer days, Shorter days, Collapse of gingerbread houses in Sweden, Cow infertility, UFO sightings in the UK, Rise in insurance premiums, Heroin addiction, Rise in bear attacks in Japan, Frigid Cold Winters in Great Britain, Cancer, Death from heart disease, diabetes, stroke, respiratory disease, accidents, homicide, suicide, water -borne disease outbreaks, heavier and wetter snowstorms, Lyme disease, Swarms of allergy-inducing and stinging insects, More mosquitoes and devastating pine bark beetle infestations, Spread of forest and crop pests, 40,000 dead crabs… just to name a few… Here’s the latest crazy claim: In a speech given by Christiana Figueres, the United Nation’s Executive Secretary for Climate Change, she actually claimed that the recent unrest in Egypt was caused by rising food-prices… which were caused by “global warming”! She said that on a global level, increasingly unpredictable weather patterns will lead to falling agricultural production and higher food prices, leading to food insecurity. She claims that recent events around the world clearly show how such situations can cause political instability and undermine the performance of already fragile states. She adds that if we took part of our defense spending and invested it in reducing CO2 in the atmosphere – while we all stood on one foot and sang Kumbayah – we could avoid the “horrors” associated with global warming… (I added the standing on one foot/Kumbayah part…). What she is saying, of course, is that we should cut defense spending and give that money to other countries so they can solve their problems. The food shortage in countries around the world, is not caused by any so-called “global warming”… It’s caused by mismanagement of resources by oppressive, un-democratic, anti-American regimes. It always bothers me how these “climate experts” never talk about the fact that plants use CO2 to grow… therefore, in actuality, if we were experiencing run-away warming, there should be more food… not less! The “global warming” silliness has absolutely nothing to do with protecting the world from an environmental apocalypse… It’s all about redistributing your income. ------- Yeah, it's "warming" that's wiping out the food.
