NEW YORK – At the rollout for No Labels at Columbia University on Monday, one of the group's founders called the event "our little Woodstock of democracy." But the well- organized event, with its national media coverage, roster of top political names like New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Indiana Sen. Evan Bayh, and media heavyweights like David Gergen and Joe Scarborough, felt like anything but Woodstock.

No Labels may be a protest movement of sorts (if you are the tea party or MoveOn.org or even the Republican or Democratic parties) but it's not exactly a radical idea the group is pushing. If recent polls are correct, the message No Labels is espousing is exactly what a majority of Americans, who are fed up with both parties, say they want from their government.

While No Labels would like to counter some of the influence of the two political parties, its founders insist they are not trying to found a third or independent party. No Labels wants to reform the system from within.

Those founders, an extremely politically well-connected and experienced bunch, are seeking to reform the political culture and support candidates and ideas that reflect bipartisanship, civility and centrist solutions to the nation's problems. And they want to do it in a conventional way – by raising money, organizing voters and creating a political action committee to support candidates they like. They have an initial budget of $1 million, which should help.

The group's founders are far from political neophytes. Nancy Jacobson is a longtime Democratic fundraiser who worked for Gary Hart, Al Gore and Evan Bayh, the Democratic National Committee and on Bill Clinton's campaigns. Her husband is Mark Penn, chief strategist for Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign. Mark McKinnon was a senior adviser to former President George W. Bush and to Sen. John McCain during his 2008 presidential run.

Jonathan Cowan, also a founder and organizer, told those in attendance for the New York kickoff that when elected officials "start hearing from you, that will change the political dynamic." Cowan is the president and co-founder of Third Way, a moderate think tank in Washington that promotes the same kind of goals as No Labels, and he served in the Clinton administration. Post-election polls show an American public that sees increasing partisanship and political bickering in government and is pessimistic about the two parties coming together to seek solutions to the nation's problems. Cooperation and compromise ........

This is nothing but an effort by the Fascist Elites to counter the Tea Party Movement. They tried and failed to do this during the election by promoting bought and paid for people like Newt as "Tea Party spokesman....",and even used unknowing stooges like Palin and having the media push her as a "Tea Party Leader".

That didn't work,so here is the result. They even admit that it is a continuation of "The Third Way",which was itself nothing but a continuation of Poppy Bush's "New World Order".

Tony Blair and Bill Clinton were the prime leaders promoting The Third Way,and Blair responded to the request to define it described it as "neither communism nor capitalism, but a combination of the two."

Which is the perfect description of Fascism.

As for the claims they are making that the 'murikan peep-pulls want bi-partisanship" goes, that is pure bullshit. The left wants leftist candidates and political policies, and the right want's right-wing candidates and political policies. BOTH sides of the political spectrum have been getting hosed by the Ruling Party of DC insiders and international bankers ever since Reagan left office, and in MY opinion, both sides are fed up with it.

This is the fascist effort to remain relevant in the face of an awakened right and a slowly awakening left.

IMHO,Soros and Buffett ordering Obama to walk off stage earlier this week and turn the reins over to Bill Clinton is proof of the fact that the left is awakening and the northeastern elites and international bankers are starting to get scared and desperate.

I have said this before and I will say it again here. Look for Obama to refuse to run in 2012,citing family or health problems, and Bubbette! Clinton running for the Dim primary. She will be selling herself as the candidate most experienced in international politics and events with the best connections, and she will be telling the truth. Bubba Bill Bush will be out there hitting the fried chicken circuit and more than a few fried chicks, and selling the return of the "buy one,get two co-presidency" and reminding people about how good the economy was when he left office.

And against the fascist superhero duo the RINO's will run one of the usual suspects losers like Rudy,Romney,or the Huckster.

Despite some people's wet dreams,Palin will NOT be a factor. By then her reality show will expose her for the poser she is,even if she is a well-meaning poser, and the flush will be off that bloom.

And this is assuming she will even want to run and give up the advantages she has now to live her life as she wishes while making millions.

BTW,why isn't the media reporting on where the $1 million in start up money came from? Was it Soros and Buffett, the same globalists that backed Obama and are now pushing him aside?

'No Labels' Wants to Deliver on Public's Cry for Change, but Will It Work?

It'll work as well as Holbrooke's aorta:

but not as well as Madoff's dog leash ;}

" * “At one point, the medical team said, You’ve got to relax,” State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley told reporters on Tuesday, relaying what he said he had heard from people who were in the room with Holbrooke at George Washington University Hospital. “And Richard said, I can’t relax, I’m worried about Afghanistan and Pakistan. After some additional exchanges, the medical team finally said, Tell you what, we’ll try to fix this challenge while you’re undergoing surgery. And [Holbrooke] said, Yeah, see if you can take care of that, including ending the war.” *

..I love these sorts of jokes! How many people died in Afghanistan and Pakistan during this surgery? Ten? Fifty? HAHAHA. How droll! The Obama gang wants us to know, Holbrooke was not upset about the wars going badly. He was just joking about ending these wars! HAHAHA, again. Yup. It was all a cut up routine and not a serious desire to stop the mass murders. Anyway, Obama ‘Pleased’ With Afghan War — News from Antiwar.com

They're trying to water the tea down with globalist pi$$. A bi-partisan collection of America-hating/America-last collectivist swine.

This could very well backfire by splitting the vote and allowing a pro-American third party candidate to win. Hope, of a change for the better?

Evan Bayh

Here's the problem with so-called "moderate" Democrats: They are cowards.

We have a Congressmen in the Seattle area (Brian Baird) who is retiring.

He always called himself a moderate, but last year he voted in lock step with Obama, including on the healthcare monstrosity.

After he announced his retirement he did several interviews stating that he knew Obamacare was crap, that it was going to raise prices, on and on. Then he said, what we really should do is medical savings accounts with subsidies to the poor. Yes! That what Singapore does and that's what I think we should do too.

So why in the hell would he vote on something he knows will cause more problems rather than pushing what he thinks will work?

Because he's a coward. So is Evan Bayh and the rest of these numskulls.

So why in the hell would he vote on something he knows will cause more problems rather than pushing what he thinks will work?

Because he was given a couple of acres on a lake.

Or maybe a no-show seat on a corporate board,or a no-show 6 figure job for a child,like Chelsea Clinton got?

He was leaving office and never going to have to face the voters again,so what the hell did he care about right or wrong?

Damn yukon. Two posts from you and not a WORD on the subject of this thread, the "No Labels" movement.

So what do you think of the "No Labels" movement?

I mean, if your political stance is what you say it is, I'd think you'd be all over this!!!!!!!!!

Odd that you'd see fit to attack the guy who posted it, rather than joining his condemnation of it, and trying to hijack the thread into a flame war.

I dunno pete. Sounds like a true "grass-roots" movement to me! / sarcasm

Fish gotta swim, birds gotta fly,and Yukie has create diversions to take attention away from his neo-con idols.

When he's not busy watching, posting,or thinking about homo porn, that is.
