Trump Right on Trade Predators
Post Date: 2016-09-30 11:19:31 by Stoner
Is America still a serious nation? Consider. While U.S. elites were denouncing Donald Trump as unfit to serve for having compared Miss Universe 1996 to "Miss Piggy" of "The Muppets," the World Trade Organization was validating the principal plank of his platform. America's allies are cheating and robbing her blind on trade. According to the WTO, Britain, France, Spain, Germany and the EU pumped $22 billion in illegal subsidies into Airbus to swindle Boeing out of the sale of 375 commercial jets. Subsidies to the A320 caused lost sales of 271 Boeing 737s, writes journalist Alan Boyle. Subsidies for planes in the twin-aisle market cost the sale of 50 Boeing 767s, ...

Eerie: Hacked Emergency Message Foreshadowed Devastating NJ Train Crash: “Would You? Could You? On a Train?”
Post Date: 2016-09-30 10:49:48 by Deckard
The most horrific news of the day is undoubtedly the disastrous train crash in Hoboken, New Jersey that frightened everyone in the station, and killed at least one person as it went off its rails and crashed through the station. At least one hundred people were injured, and witnesses saw one of the most dramatic and unsettling accidental events in some time. “The next thing I know, I’m on the floor. We are plowing through something … and when the train came to a stop, I could see the parts of the roof on the first car and some of the debris next to me,” Shah said. (source) But it is the hacked message that happened hours before that makes this event truly creepy. Without ...

Chelsea Clinton Just Went Full Anti-Science, Prohibitionists at Liberty's Flame Follow Suit
Post Date: 2016-09-30 10:43:37 by Deckard
Chelsea Clinton has gone full anti-science — in a big way. At a town hall event at Youngstown State University in Ohio, the Democratic presidential candidate’s daughter told a crowd full of students about the “anecdotal evidence … from Colorado,” showing “some of the people who were taking marijuana for those purposes, the coroner believes, after they died, there was drug interactions with other things they were taking.” .AntiMediaResponsive2 { width: 300px; height: 250px; } @media (min-width:330px) { .AntiMediaResponsive2 { width: 336px; height: 280px; } } @media (min-width:1300px) { .AntiMediaResponsive2 { width: 728px; height: 90px; } } (adsbygoogle ...

Fairies and Communists
Post Date: 2016-09-30 09:50:46 by HomerBohn
Fairies and Communists by Jack Paar There used to be a time when it looked like the Communists were taking over show business. Now it's fairies. They operate a lot alike, actually; both have a tendency to colonize. Just as there used to be no such thing as one Communist in a play or movie, now there is no such thing as one fairy. Where you find one, you usually find a baker's dozen swishing around. I had a little game I used to play when I was an actor in Hollywood, back in the days when Communists or Communist sympathizers were nearly as plentiful in the film capital as yes-men. If I spotted someone in a picture who was a Communist or leftist, I could usually pick out several ...

RICHMOND — The FBI and local police are investigating how at least 19 dead Virginians were recently re-registered to vote in this critical swing state. One case came to light after relatives of a deceased man received a note congratulating him for registering, Rockingham County Commonwealth’s Attorney Marsha Garst said Thursday. “His family members were very distraught,” said Garst, who confirmed the existence of the FBI and police investigation but said she could provide few details because the case is ongoing. All 19 were initially registered as voters in the Shenandoah Valley city of Harrisonburg, although a clerk double-checking the entries later raised questions ...

Commerce Power: “To Regulate,” not “Prohibit"
Post Date: 2016-09-29 20:50:16 by tpaine
Commerce Power: “To Regulate,” not “Prohibit" In a law review article titled “To Regulate, Not Prohibit: Limiting the Commerce Power,” New York University Law Professor Barry Friedman, and 2011 New York University Law graduate, Genevieve Lakier take on the daunting task of reasserting the historic and genealogical lineage of the Commerce Clause from its inception through the country’s 237 years of existence as a federal republic. This thorough and thoughtful 67 page treatise is broken down into three distinct eras. In the first section, the authors cite numerous uses and misuses of commerce power, including a legal concept allowing the federal ...

Trump-loving mayor urged to resign over insanely racist Facebook posts: ‘Barry this rope is for you’
Post Date: 2016-09-29 19:57:34 by Willie Green
A Pennsylvania mayor is being urged to step down for repeatedly posting racist content and remarks on his Facebook page. Charles Wasko, the mayor of West York, compared President Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle, to monkeys in multiple posts and joked about lynching the nation’s first black president in another social media post, reported the York Dispatch. Another post suggested black Americans were incapable of caring for themselves without “socialism,” which Wasko defined as “government entitlement stuff,” and they slurred hard-working whites as racist if they complained about the arrangement. The posts, which remained online and publicly viewable early ...

Obama's Education Secretary “Concerned” About Homeschooling
Post Date: 2016-09-29 19:02:34 by HomerBohn
The opening shot in a widely anticipated establishment crackdown on educational freedom may have been fired last week. Speaking at a breakfast with reporters, Obama's controversial Education Secretary, pro-Common Core activist John King (shown), said he was “concerned” that some home-educated children were not getting the “breadth of instructional experience” they would get at a traditional school. While the senior Obama bureaucrat acknowledged that many homeschool families are doing it well, he also repeated the debunked smear that homeschooled children lack opportunities for socialization. Experts and critics, though, promptly lambasted King for his naive or ...

The Real Story On Why An NFL Quarterback Refused To Stand For The National Anthem‏
Post Date: 2016-09-29 18:36:59 by HomerBohn
San Francisco 49er's quarterback Colin Kaepernick, has a new 'protest'...refusing to stand for America's national anthem: "I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color." "To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder." The 49er's, of course, came out with an incredibly PC response to this: "The national anthem is and always will be a special part of the pre-game ceremony. It is an opportunity to honor our country and ...

DID HILLARY CHEAT? Internet Abuzz After First Debate – 2 Ways She May Have Cheated
Post Date: 2016-09-29 18:31:23 by HomerBohn
(Gateway Pundit) – Hillary Clinton is not above cheating, lying or stealing to get what she wants so it shouldn’t be any surprise that she is being accused of cheating during Monday’s 1st Presidential debate. Here are the 2 ways that she may have cheated: A picture from after the debate shows Clinton with some sort of device taped to her back below her clothing. Speculation is that this is a device that works with an ear piece that Hillary could have used to receive feedback from advisors during the debate. Another way that Clinton was accused of cheating was in signals that she gave to the moderator Lester Holt. During the debate when Clinton wanted to signal Holt that ...

Four low temperature Proton Exchange Membrane fuel cell modules sit behind the 80 kW electric motor and single propeller(Credit: DLR) A collaboration of aircraft makers, fuel cell developers and university engineers have come a step closer to zero emission passenger flights with the first flight of a hydrogen fuel cell four-seater electric aircraft. The twin-cabin, (relatively) low-noise HY4 took off at 11:15 am (local) today for a quick zip around Stuttgart Airport. The HY4's 21.36 m (70 ft) wing is home to the HY4's central single propeller with a two-seater fuselage on either side, a design that's said to allow for "optimal distribution of the drive components and a ...

Libertarian candidate unable to name a foreign leader he admires. Gary Johnson's memory is causing him problems. Oops. Just as he was making a last-ditch effort to create momentum and build credibility for his long-shot presidential campaign, Libertarian nominee Gary Johnson had another brain freeze Wednesday night. Asked by host Chris Matthews on MSNBC to name his favorite foreign leader, Johnson drew a blank. Matthews pressed him, and still Johnson came up with nothing. "Name one foreign leader that you respect and look up to," Matthews said. "Anybody." No one came to the candidate's mind. Matthews wouldn't let him off the hook. "You gotta do ...

David Potter  / Oxford University Press Stash for the afterlife: A photograph of a stash of cannabis found in the 2,700-year-old grave of a man in the Gobi Desert. Scientists are unsure if the marijuana was grown for more spiritual or medical purposes, but it's evident that the man was buried with a lot of it. Nearly two pounds of still-green plant material found in a 2,700-year-old grave in the Gobi Desert has just been identified as the world's oldest marijuana stash, according to a paper in the latest issue of the Journal of Experimental Botany. A barrage of tests proves the marijuana possessed potent psychoactive properties and casts doubt on the theory that the ...

Belligerent Cops Accuse Innocent Man of Breaking Into His Own House & Savagely Beat Him
Post Date: 2016-09-29 09:48:26 by Deckard
Greensboro, NC — In the American police state, sitting on your own porch in broad daylight, doing nothing untoward, could still earn a punch in the face and tackling to the ground by an ignorant, rogue cop — even if you’re fully compliant and respectful.Dejuan Yourse found that out the hard way on June 17, when he waited for his mom to meet him at the Greensboro, North Carolina, house he’d intermittently shared with her for years. Because he did not have a current key to the home, Yourse’s mother told him to relax on the porch until she arrived.Officer Travis Cole and an as-yet unidentified female officer, however, pulled up before she got there, and proceeded to ...

US Attorney General Finally Admits Weed Isn’t a Gateway Drug — Prescription Pills Are
Post Date: 2016-09-29 09:35:01 by Deckard
The National Institute on Drug Abuse is a U.S. federal research institute focused on “[advancing] science on the causes and consequences of drug use and addiction … to apply that knowledge to improve individual and public health. ” Though it admits “the majority of people who use marijuana do not go on to use other, ‘harder’ substances,” it still describes marijuana as a gateway drug. But U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch recently told a group of Kentucky high school students the role of marijuana in the national drug abuse debate has been overstated. While discussing how heroin abuse and how individuals often develop an addiction, Lynch argued: ...

A Tale of Two Students: Clockmed and Levi
Post Date: 2016-09-29 07:54:26 by HomerBohn
Sandy High Oregon High School student Levi Frunk has been suspended and will miss playing in his homecoming football game, because of a homemade phone charger he was using in school. He was suspended and he wasn’t Muslim. Hmmmm. Was he suspended because he was Jewish? Would anyone even suggest that, even though hate crime against Jews is nearly 60% (where anti-Muslim hate crime is 11%)? Where is this boy’s invitation to the White House, President Obama? He actually invented something, not like bomb-hoaxer Clockmed, who merely dissembled a digital clock (and admitted in an interview with the Dallas Morning News that he knew before even going to school that the device “looked ...

Gary Johnson: Take a Deep Breath, Voters. There Is a Third Way. (NYT editorial)

Credit Al Drago/The New York Times The America I know wasn’t on the television screen on Monday night. My America is about the freedom to make choices, pursue your dreams and use your skills as entrepreneurs. It is about having more choices than just red versus blue.Americans want to be able to choose a president who is capable of reason, of learning from failures, and of telling them the truth, even when it hurts. Most of all, they want to choose a president who will adhere to the Constitution and will make government live within its means.I’m offering that choice. I wasn’t part of the presidential debate on Monday, but as Americans listened in dismay to the so-called ...

After the Republic
Post Date: 2016-09-28 16:19:56 by tpaine
After the Republic By: Angelo M. Codevilla September 27, 2016 Submitver the past half century, the Reagan years notwithstanding, our ruling class’s changing preferences and habits have transformed public and private life in America. As John Marini shows in his essay, “Donald Trump and the American Crisis,” this has resulted in citizens morphing into either this class’s “stakeholders” or its subjects. And, as Publius Decius Mus argues, “America and the West” now are so firmly “on a trajectory toward something very bad” that it is no longer reasonable to hope that “all human outcomes are still possible,” by which he means ...

Is Charlotte Our Future?
Post Date: 2016-09-28 13:42:10 by nativist nationalist
Celebrating the racial diversity of the Charlotte protesters last week, William Barber II, chairman of the North Carolina NAACP proudly proclaimed, “This is what democracy looks like.” Well, if Barber is right, so, too, was John Adams, who warned us that “democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide.” Consider what the protesters, who, exults Barber, “show us a way forward to peace and justice,” accomplished. In the first two nights of rioting, the mob injured a dozen cops, beat white people, smashed and looted stores, blocked traffic, shut down interstate highways, got ...

State Proposes Bold Law to Treat Pot Like Tobacco And Expunge All Records of Marijuana “Crimes” [Full Thread]
Post Date: 2016-09-28 07:51:26 by Deckard
By Claire Bernish Bold legislation introduced in New Jersey last week would not only treat cannabis like tobacco — legalizing it — but would expunge records for individuals previously convicted of certain marijuana-related ‘crimes.’ Should the bill, A4193, pass, convenience stores would be permitted to sell cannabis alongside cigarettes — available to anyone aged 19 and older. “This bill would legalize marijuana by removing all criminal liability associated with marijuana from the New Jersey Code of Criminal Justice … as well as its regulation as a controlled dangerous substance under the New Jersey Controlled Dangerous Substances Act,” the proposed ...

Nashville Cops Don't Want to Enforce Airbnb Regulations Because They'd Rather Focus on Stopping Actual Crime
Post Date: 2016-09-28 07:46:12 by Deckard
City officials want specially-trained police to go door-to-door making sure no one is illegally granting permission for strangers to sleep in their homes. Police in Nashville, Tennessee, have been asked to train at least 10 officers to enforce new regulations targeting users of homesharing websites like Airbnb, but the cops say they would prefer to focus on preventing crimes that actually have victims. In a letter to Mayor Megan Barry, more than two dozen members of the Nashville Metro Council have asked for police to be deployed to enforce the city's year-old rules that limit how many guests can stay in residential homes, The Tennessean reports. Nashville's homesharing regulations ...
